Workshop on field theory and geometric flows

Munich, November 24 - 28, 2008

Outline of the workshop:

The workhop aims to bring together experts from physics and mathematics
communities that have active interest in the subject of "Field Theory and
Geometric Flows" to report on the recent developments, exchange ideas and
propose new directions that could be of interdiciplinary value.
The physical applications will include problems in quantum field theory
(renormalization of bulk and boundary interactions of sigma models) as well
as problems in general relativity (cosmology and mass inequalities) and string theory
(tachyon condensation). Entropy functionals will also be in focus.
