"Conference
on Geometry, Strings and the Swampland"
November 08 - 12,
2021
Ringberg Castle, Tegernsee
Venue
The conference will take place at Ringberg
Castle, which is
located on Mount Ringberg
and overlooks Lake Tegernsee,
one of the most picturesque locations to be found in all of
southern Bavaria.
The castle, which is owned and operated by the
Max-Planck-Society, represents an ideal venue for scientific
conferences, offering impressive architecture, displays of fine
art, a music room, excellent food, spectacular views of the
surrounding mountains, not to mention the fresh air and great
walks. More specific information on the Ringberg
Castle, including
colored photographs, is available from Ringberg Castle site. The distance
to the next village, Rottach-Egern,
is about 3 km.

Covid19 measures:
We apply the (german) 2G rule, i.e. only
fully vaccinated or recovered (serological test) people will be admitted to
the castle. Documentation of 2G status must be shown upon arrival.
This means that solely a negative PCR test is not sufficient.
To further increase the safety of all participants we do a quick test
(self-test) upon arrival. Moreover, in common areas and the lecture
hall all people (except the speaker) have to wear a medical mask. During
the three meals, while sitting at the table it can be removed.
Philosophy:
The workshop aims to cover some of the
latest developments in string theory in general, and also specifically in the Swampland program.

arrival date to the conference site is November 07 and the departure
date is November 12 after lunch. Talks will start on Monday morning, November 08, and
end at noon on Friday, November 12.
